Ingredient Profile - Ferulic Acid

Katie Marshall

Ferulic Acid - a plant derived phenolic antioxidant and free radical scavenger found in the cell walls of plants such as rice, oats and the seeds of apples, pineapple and oranges, where it plays a key role in the plants' protection and self-preservation.

It works amazingly well when paired with other antioxidant-rich ingredients like Vitamins C and E. Free radicals are one of the biggest reasons why people see prematurely aging skin, including under eye wrinkles and marionette lines. Free radicals are highly unstable and reactive molecules with an unpaired electron, that damage living cells which makes them unstable.

  • Protects against damage caused by UVA/UVB exposure
  • Assists in the regeneration of healthy cells by supporting collagen production
  • Improves the skin’s natural barrier function
  • Brightens uneven skin tone and improves skin texture
  • Great for all skin types
